After a tough 5-2 loss to THESA to open the Matt Clark Classic, the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals bounced back in dominant fashion, winning three straight games to close out the tournament.

The Cardinals responded with a 7-4 comeback victory over John Paul II, fueled by clutch hits from Jack Ude and Jeryn Walker, along with shutdown relief pitching from Carter Pierson and Austen Meiser. Being patient at the plate proved to be fruitful as Fort Worth Christian drew 10 walks. Smart baserunning and timely hitting helped the Cardinals take control late.

Momentum carried into Friday’s matchup against Legacy Christian Academy, where Jake Parkerson’s two-run single put the Cardinals ahead for good in a 6-2 win. Brody Henderson turned in a strong start, while Antonio Andujar picked up the save to lock things down.

Fort Worth Christian saved its best for last, erupting for a 12-0 rout of Weatherford Christian. Braylen James launched a two-run homer, Andrew Ridgell and John Stevens delivered key triples, and Hayden Bargy tossed three hitless innings as the Cardinals dominated in every facet of the game.

With three straight wins and flawless defense in their final games, the Cardinals showcased resilience and execution in key moments. The team leave the tournament with confidence, proving they can bounce back and perform at a high level as they move forward in the season.
