North Richland Hills, TX - The Fort Worth Christian Cardinals delivered a solid performance on Tuesday, shutting out the UME Prep Eagles 5-0.
After four scoreless innings, Jake Parkerson put the Cardinals on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth. From there, Fort Worth Christian took full control of the game, capitalizing on key hits and strong baserunning.
Maddox Bradshaw earned the win, pitching two shutout innings while striking out four and allowing no hits. David Salas got the start for the Cardinals, tossing three scoreless innings with five strikeouts and two walks. Griffin Carney and Antonio Andujar also contributed out of the bullpen, keeping UME Prep off the scoreboard.
Offensively, Parkerson led the way, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Andrew Ridgell also collected two hits, while Carney showcased his speed with three stolen bases. In total, the Cardinals swiped five bags. Defensively, they played a clean game, committing no errors. Catcher Austen Meiser anchored the defense with
