North Richland Hills, TX - The Fort Worth Christian Cardinals are gearing up for an exciting 2025 baseball season, with their full schedule officially released this month. With high hopes and big expectations, the team is eager to begin their campaign.
The season will kick off on January 31st when the Cardinals travel to The Graham for their first game of the year against Prestonwood Christian Academy. The home opener will follow shortly after on February 4th at Keck-Horton Field, where they’ll host UME Prep.
“We’re all excited to get the season started,” said head coach Rusty Greer. “We’ve put in a lot of hard work during the offseason, and now it’s time to see how it all comes together. We’ve got some great opponents on the schedule, and we can’t wait to get out there and compete.”
As part of their busy 2025 slate, the Cardinals will compete in four tournaments, offering an early opportunity to face strong competition. One of the standout events is the Private School Classic, which will be hosted by Fort Worth Christian at Keck-Horton Field. Greer is especially excited about this event. “The Private School Classic is always a great tournament, and being able to host it at our home field is something we’re really looking forward to. It’s a great chance to showcase our program and facilities.”
District play is set to begin on March 6th when the Cardinals take on Midland Christian. “Every year we know district play will be tough, but we’ve got a lot of confidence in our team,” said assistant coach Jacob Pickle. “I think all of us are excited to get to work in January.”
The regular season will also consist of the Senior Night game against TACA on April 10th. This will be a special night to honor the Cardinal seniors as the regular season starts to wind down.
With a blend of experienced returners and talented newcomers, the Cardinals are primed for an exciting season. It’s sure to be an action-packed year for Fort Worth Christian baseball!
